A lot of people waiting for the Saturday-Sunday as a day off after five days of effective work. In addition to the filled weekend recreational activities, a lot of people are deprived of sleep for long. Some people assume that a lot of time sleeping, taken during the working day can be replaced during a weekend or holiday time.
Unfortunately,
this custom according to the results of a recent study that did not
answer the problem of quality of sleep a person. Sleep long on weekends will never replace the time lost sleep during the week. In fact, these activities were made more sleepy on Monday morning.
Scientists
from UT Southwestern Medical Center, said the long sleep on Saturday
and Sunday will interfere with the body's internal clock. So instead of making a person more difficult to wake up on weekdays after the holiday.
"There
is a myth that says if you lose sleep time during the workday, it's
redeemable at the weekend," said Dr. Gregory Carter, one of the
researchers.
He assesses these myths are mistaken. In everyday life, our bodies have daily or circadian cycle that guides our body internally. One can delay the circadian cycle them out up to one hour.
The experts explained, long sleep on Saturday will delay the circadian clock in the brain to two. This will make you more difficult sleep on Sunday, so you have trouble waking up on time on Monday.
Carter
suggested, if you want to balance the sleep debt on weekdays we
recommend people speeding his sleep time at a later date. Sleep debt can be compensated by giving time off 8 hours in bed.
