Intel Unveils Processors Haswell, Designed More Efficient Power

While opening the event Intel Developer Forum to-15 in San Francisco, USA, Chief Product Officer (CEO) of Intel's Dadi Perlmutter introduces line of processors "Haswell" which will be the successor to the series "Ivy Bridge".

Haswell is the fourth generation of a family of processor "Core" that is made with 22 nm fabrication process.

These new processors are made specifically to save power. Allegedly, Haswell was able to walk sekencang Ivy Bridge but just need a little more electrical power.

One variant has the power consumption figures Haswell only 10 Watts, but its performance is comparable to Ivy Bridge which requires 5 watts.

It allows the creation of mobile computers that are thinner and more durable. "Battery life is ultrabook in the next year, for example, will increase to nine hours from five hours this year," said Intel Notebook Product Marketing Director Adam King, as quoted from the BBC.

Intel is planning to make two versions, one version with Haswell number 10 watt power needs, and the other with the numbers 15 watts of power needs. Both are each able to save power by 52 per cent and 29 per cent compared to the current generation of processors.

There has been no definite schedule regarding the emergence of Haswell or information costs.

In addition, Intel also implement other improvements on the graphics processing capabilities in the form of Haswell are two times better than the Ivy Bridge.

Graphics processing on the Direct X API supports Haswell 11.1, OpenGL 4.0 and OpenCL 1.2. The new flagship is able to transmit to Intel to display 4 k output device or to three HD monitor at once.
