Somalia's Parliament Prepared To Choose A New President

Somalia's Parliament is scheduled to vote for a new President of the country, Monday (10/9/2012) amid concerns of this historic election, an influential lot to political conditions of the country.

Referred to as the land of the old milestone dikoyak the war, Somalia's first presidential election in the last few decades is expected to ease two decades of war.

Corruption and Fraud

However, the conditions began to improve this corruption offence and consequently polluted already resulted in a number of setbacks.

Several presidential candidates and a number of prominent Somali criticized presidential election process. They said the current system with a new Government will not be so different from the old Government.

A number of diplomatic sources mengatkan millions of US dollars poured to pay for members of Parliament to vote back current President, Sheikh Sharif Ahmed.

That source said money millions of US dollars that came from the Somali businessman in the Gulf countries. Some of them have bahlan connection with the warlords to maintain the status quo.

The Office of the Presidency of Somalia so far could not be reached for comment about the bribery accusations prompted for it.

However, on many occasions the President Sheikh Ahmed has always disputed the validity cheats to win the presidential election of Somalia.
